📋 Role Overview & Key Responsibilities
Centrally operating from Sri Lanka, the Accountant (Record to Report) is directly responsible for managing financial transaction processing, balance sheet integrity, and multi-jurisdictional reporting for assigned international entities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Financial Close & Global Reporting: Manage end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles for overseas entities in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP standards.
- Balance Sheet Integrity: Prepare and review rigorous, audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations with complete supporting documentation.
- Tax & Statutory Compliance: Coordinate with local tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions to handle VAT, GST, and corporate income tax filings.
- Audit Management: Function as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors, providing schedules and required compliance documentation.
- Process Automation & Governance: Drive automation and workflow enhancements within the Record to Report cycle while upholding global group accounting policies.
🎯 Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Professional Certification: Fully qualified member of ACCA, ACA, CIMA (CGMA), or an equivalent professional body.
- Work Experience: 2 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in international accounting, a Shared Services Center (SSC), or a multi-entity global environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong mastery of IFRS, local GAAP frameworks, multi-currency accounting, and cross-border VAT/GST compliance.
- Core Competencies: Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities, analytical problem-solving, high attention to detail, and fluent business English communication skills.
