Assistant ‐ Employee Relations ‐ Operations

(Based at MAS Activewear – Kilinochchi)

We are on the lookout for a dedicated individual to strategically manage all Human Resources and Employee Relations functions within the assigned area. This role is responsible for maintaining a stable, safe, and productive workforce by overseeing key areas such as attendance, retention, compliance, and employee well-being. The ultimate goal is to enhance overall operational efficiency and employee satisfaction through the effective management of both people and systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and reduce absenteeism and employee turnover for both the direct and indirect workforces within the respective area.
  • Attend to and resolve employee grievances, providing timely solutions and escalating to relevant parties when necessary.
  • Ensure high scores on all relevant audits, including the LCAT and CSA audits, and maintain accurate LUDUS data and digital records.
  • Work closely with other departments to enhance work relations and effectively handle employee-related activities.
  • Manage on-time employee terminations through the Oracle System and ensure the accuracy of all digital data.
  • Lead the implementation and promotion of digital HR applications such as e-leave, online grievance systems, HR Andon, and e-gate passes to streamline processes.
  • Provide information with regards to health and safety concerns, issues and suggestions raised by employees to compliance point person and get engaged team members for problem solving in health and safety.

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Degree/ Diploma in Human Resources or any relevant discipline
  • 2 – 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Good coordination skills
  • IT Literacy
  • Knowledge in health and safety standards
