Overview of the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer II to support our AI platform and microservices ecosystem.
The role involves building RESTful APIs using Python and .NET Core, contributing to AI-enabled workflows (RAG, LLM integrations), and working closely with frontend and platform teams under the guidance of Lead AI Engineers.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django) and .NET Core (ASP.NET Core).
• Build backend services within a microservices architecture.
• Contribute to AI-enabled services, including:
  • LLM integrations
  • RAG pipelines (document ingestion, retrieval, response orchestration)
• Integrate services with Azure AI / Azure OpenAI.
• Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
• Debug, optimize, and support production systems.

What we’re looking for

Backend & APIs

• Strong experience in Python and/or .NET Core
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and Python frameworks
• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST principles, authentication (JWT / OAuth)
• Experience working with microservices

AI / Platform Exposure

• Exposure to AI / LLM services (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or similar)
• Basic understanding of:
  • embeddings
  • vector search
  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Client-Side Exposure

• Working knowledge of any modern frontend framework:
  • React / Angular / Vue
• Ability to consume APIs and debug UI–backend interactions

Good to Have

• Exposure to Azure cloud services
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/containers
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of AI service performance, latency, and cost considerations
