Logistics Executive | The Colombo Ice Company (Pvt) Ltd

The Colombo Ice Company (Pvt) Ltd (CICL), a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, operates the most advanced ice cream manufacturing facility in South Asia. We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team and oversee our high-output logistics operations.

Core Responsibilities

Transportation & Distribution Management

• Coordinate daily inbound and outbound logistics between carriers and clients.

• Develop truck schedules and optimize routing to ensure strictly on-time deliveries.

• Evaluate 3PL provider performance based on cost, service levels, and punctuality.

• Resolve operational hurdles, including delivery delays, shortages, or transit damage.

• Provide agile support to scale operations during peak seasonal demand.

Operational Efficiency & Planning

• Manage the cold room financial workflow (PR, PO, SRN, and GRN) and expedite approvals.

• Utilize software tools and Power BI dashboards to analyze logistics data and track company KPIs.

• Execute truck space optimization strategies to improve capacity utilization and pack fill rates.

Quality Assurance & Safety (SHE)

• Lead initiatives to minimize product damage during transit.

• Resolve and eliminate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) on a monthly basis.

• Enforce rigorous safety guidelines, conduct regular audits, and ensure prompt reporting of accidents or near misses.

• Maintain total compliance with all business-relevant operational standards.

Candidate Profile

• Education: A Degree or equivalent Diploma in Logistics Management.

• Experience: 1–2 years of practical experience in fleet and people management.

• Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret logistics data.
