Key Responsibilities

• Legal Documentation: Draft pleadings and other legal documentation specifically relating to past due and recovery matters.

• Litigation Management: Initiate legal proceedings as required and appear before original and appellate courts on behalf of the Bank.

• Advisory Services: Provide comprehensive legal advice on all matters concerning banking operations and recovery strategies.

• Coordination: Effectively liaise with external counsel and internal departments to manage ongoing legal matters.

• Court Proceedings: Conduct trials and inquiries (proven ability in this area is a distinct advantage).

Requirements

• Professional Qualification: Must be an Attorney-at-Law duly qualified to practice in Sri Lanka.

• Experience: A minimum of seven (07) years of post-qualification experience is required.

• Sector Expertise: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the banking or financial sector.

• Specialization: Proven experience in litigation and recovery-related legal work.
