Associate Operations Engineer

Job Description

As an Associate Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying, investigating, and protecting service availability and data across diverse sources and locations. Your role is critical in validating alerts, determining incident status, and ensuring all events are accurately logged with an assessment of their severity and impact. When necessary, you will also implement initial corrective actions.

This position focuses on essential operational activities—including batch scheduling, processing, monitoring, and remediation—for the back-office services that drive our business. Additionally, you will serve as a primary initiator for the Major Incident process, collaborating closely with Incident Management and Security Operations teams to address concerns regarding system integrity and access.

How You Will Make an Impact

Incident Response: Provide real-time monitoring and correlation analysis for operational events.
Validation: Review alerts and reports to distinguish between routine operational issues and security-related incidents.
Documentation: Ensure all incidents, batch failures, and reports are precisely recorded in the appropriate systems.
Operational Ownership: Take full accountability for incidents during assigned 24×7 roster shifts, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
Collaboration: Work alongside support teams to streamline event identification and support the Major Incident Management process.
Triage & Analysis: Perform initial triage on infrastructure, application, and platform logs to identify anomalies or security threats.
Pattern Recognition: Review system and middleware logs to detect patterns indicating service disruptions or abnormal behavior.
Investigation Support: Assist in correlating operational and security data during high-priority investigations.
Knowledge Management: Proactively maintain and update Runbook documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
