Primary Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Ensure the consistent availability of approved packing materials by liaising between procurement and store teams.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and uphold high-quality standards through rigorous checking procedures.

  • Sustainability Leadership: Drive eco-friendly initiatives—including reusable bags, e-billing, and box reuse—to minimize environmental impact.

  • Cost & Usage Analysis: Track material consumption at the outlet level, identify variances, and implement corrective measures.

  • Compliance & Standards: Verify that all outlets adhere to company protocols regarding packing material types, display, and handling.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with marketing and operations to boost customer and staff awareness of sustainability goals.

  • Reporting & Feedback: Prepare performance reports on packing costs and sustainability, incorporating insights from the Packing Forum.

  • Workforce Planning: Develop accurate overtime (OT) budgets aligned with trading patterns and operational needs.

  • Operational Efficiency: Analyze outlets with high OT usage to identify root causes and ensure corrective actions are followed through.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of experience in retail operations, cost control, or workforce planning.

  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the FMCG or Supermarket sectors is highly advantageous.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting tools and digital dashboards is preferred.

  • Core Competencies: Proven ability to manage budgets across multiple locations, strong stakeholder management skills, and a results-driven mindset.

  • Soft Skills: Highly self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments.
