Engineer – Converged Charging

The Role

As a Technical Project Engineer, you will bridge the gap between high-level design and hands-on execution. You’ll be responsible for architecting blueprints, modernizing legacy systems, and ensuring the seamless delivery of charging and billing services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Strategy: Research and draft detailed blueprints and roadmaps for divisional projects, ensuring all plans align with long-term business objectives.

• Modernization: Execute projects focused on operational optimization, specifically targeting application modernization and cloud migration for Charging/Billing systems.

• Service Integration: Conduct end-to-end feasibility checks for new services (OCS) and support other divisions in integrating and optimizing service delivery.

• Product Lifecycle: Create and configure new offers, tariffs, and promotions while advising business units on technical constraints and possibilities.

• Quality Assurance: Prepare comprehensive testing plans and lead troubleshooting efforts during Pre-Launch Assurance (PLA) and post-launch phases.

• Operations & Support: Manage system configurations, provide 24/7 third-level support, and lead network traffic management during peak periods or emergencies.

• Automation: Develop scripts (web-service and back-end) to automate proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and daily operational tasks.

• Mentorship: Share technical knowledge and process improvements with the team to foster a culture of continuous optimization.

The Person

• Education: BSc in Engineering (Telecommunications or Computer Science).

• Certifications: Professional certification in System Administration (RedHat) and Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP).

• Experience: 1–2 years in project planning, management, and execution within a telecommunications environment.

• Technical Proficiency: * OS: Expert-level knowledge of Linux, Windows, and MacOS.

  • Scripting: Proficient in Shell, Java, PHP, and Python.

  • Databases: Hands-on experience with Oracle, MySQL, and Clickhouse.

  • Protocols: Deep understanding of SOAP, REST, Diameter, Camel, and SS7 Signaling.

• Domain Expertise: Proven track record in troubleshooting, system configuration, and service integration for OCS nodes.
