Job Profile

In this role, you will lead the Reconciliation Unit, ensuring the integrity of financial data across the bank. Key responsibilities include:

• Overseeing all reconciliation activities, including Card Center and CEFT transaction reconciliations.

• Ensuring the timely verification and processing of customer refunds.

• Providing leadership and supervision to the unit, managing Head Office-related bank and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations.

• Monitoring branch-level reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and the swift resolution of discrepancies.

Candidate Profile

• Education: A Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Finance. Previous exposure to the Banking Industry is highly advantageous.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Bank/GL reconciliation processes and a solid understanding of CEFT/CEFTS settlement procedures.

  • Familiarity with Core Banking Systems and automated reconciliation software.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Data Analysis).

• Professional Certifications: Full qualification in AIB is a distinct advantage.

• Competencies: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective interpersonal communication.
