Associate Dev Ops Lead

Job Purpose

We are looking for a highly skilled Associate DevOps Lead with a strong background in telecommunications, cloud infrastructure, and automation. In this role, you will bridge the gap between development and business teams to design robust deployment strategies and implement solutions within our Core Charging and Billing platforms. You will be responsible for building CI/CD pipelines, enforcing cloud best practices, and ensuring efficient multi-cloud resource provisioning. Your expertise in scripting and automation will be vital in optimizing system performance while maintaining rigorous security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Product & Service Implementation

• Lead end-to-end feasibility checks for new product and service launches, focusing on Charging and Billing aspects.

• Manage the implementation of tariffs and products to meet business unit requirements, ensuring alignment with SLAs, revenue growth, and customer experience goals.

• Oversee the full product launch lifecycle, including approvals, documentation, security audits, and pre-launch assessments (PLA).

System Architecture & Project Leadership

• Lead OCS (Online Charging System) and core rating projects, defining scope, architecture, and resourcing to ensure on-time delivery.

• Design and implement optimum system blueprints through strategic module upgrades or replacements.

• Coordinate with core network experts to evaluate and integrate complex telecommunications solutions.

Cloud, Automation & DevOps

• Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Docker-Compose, and Kubernetes.

• Design and automate CI/CD workflows for microservices and optimize cloud architectures for scalability and cost efficiency.

• Integrate peripheral applications with advanced monitoring and alerting tools to proactively track performance.

• Drive the adoption of emerging technologies such as RPA, AI, and Containerization to optimize resource utilization.

Network & Security

• Conduct deep-dive network troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, routing, and topology analysis.

• Maintain strict compliance with security best practices, access controls, and cloud governance.

• Facilitate knowledge-sharing and training sessions to upskill the team on modern DevOps methodologies.

Entry Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; background in the Telco ecosystem and understanding of Telco signaling is highly preferred.

• Cloud & DevOps: Solid grasp of DevOps principles and hands-on experience with distributed environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, and Jenkins is essential.

• Technical Skills: * Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Java, Node.js, PHP, or Go).

  • Strong command of Linux/Unix and Windows system administration.

  • Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs.

• Certifications: Professional certification in AWS and Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD) is a significant advantage.

• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
