The Role

Ceylon Cold Stores PLC (CCS), the manufacturer of Elephant House beverages and ice creams and a subsidiary of John Keells Holdings PLC, is looking for a Finance Project Partner to drive the financial success of new business initiatives.

You will manage the financial lifecycle of sector projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strategic collaborator who can bridge the gap between operational research, corporate finance, and legal teams to ensure all new ventures are financially viable, well-funded, and meticulously tracked.

Key Responsibilities

• Feasibility & Strategy: Lead the development of comprehensive financial feasibility studies and project reports, consolidating data from research, operations, and management accounting teams.

• Approvals & Reporting: Prepare high-level board presentations and approval documentation. Provide periodic (daily to quarterly) variance analysis, forecasting, and status reports to senior management.

• Contract & Risk Management: Partner with Legal to finalize financial clauses. Review contracts, letters of credit, and guarantees, ensuring all contractors maintain mandatory insurance policies.

• Funding & Treasury: Liaise with the Group Treasury and banking partners to secure project funding and manage loan drawdowns.

• Financial Control: Oversee project-related payments and maintain precise financial records. Monitor actual spend against budgets to ensure strict financial discipline.

• Compliance: Manage all project-related tax returns and statutory government reporting. Ensure project accounts are closed accurately and on time.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate Membership in CIMA (UK) or CA Sri Lanka.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in feasibility preparation, data analytics, and project accounting.

• Strong academic background with a deep understanding of standard contract terms and manufacturing-sector financial behavior.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in financial modeling, IRR/ROI calculations, and funding methods.

• Proficiency in project management structures, import terms, and data analytics.

• Highly computer literate, particularly in advanced MS Office applications.

• Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex data.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for stakeholder engagement and board-level reporting.

• Leadership: Proactive, independent, and capable of setting priorities to see projects through to completion.
