Head of Events & Programs

The Head of Events & Programs oversees the Events and Programs Business Unit, leading the design and delivery of local and regional (Asia) initiatives across virtual, physical, and hybrid formats. This role balances creative event curation with strategic business development, marketing, and stakeholder management. We are looking for a proactive leader who can work independently while contributing to the organization’s broader mission.


Key Responsibilities

  • Event Curation & Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of diverse events (50–500 attendees), including webinars, conferences, awards, CXO briefings, and workshops.

  • Strategic Planning: Design event agendas, source speakers, and manage all logistics and supplier relationships.

  • Financial Oversight: Prepare budgets and manage revenue and expenses to ensure the unit’s profitability.

  • Marketing & Communications: Develop marketing campaigns, create promotional content, and manage the monthly newsletter and marketing database.

  • Growth & Development: Expand the Best Employers Club (BEC) membership and identify new sponsorship and partnership opportunities.

  • Sales & Lead Generation: Drive business growth through lead generation and sales to meet revenue targets.

  • Tech Management: Oversee event technology platforms and stay updated on industry trends.

  • Business Strategy: Develop expansion strategies for the Business Unit, including pricing models and new event formats.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Education: A degree or equivalent professional qualification from a reputable institute.

  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar leadership role.

  • Soft Skills: Organized, personable, and energetic with a proactive “can-do” attitude and strong negotiation skills.

  • Operational Excellence: Ability to work meticulously and independently within a small, fast-paced team.

  • Technical Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office, CRM, and collaboration platforms, with a quick aptitude for learning new tech.

  • Communication: Exceptional written and spoken English; confident in public speaking and event hosting.

  • Adaptability: Flexible and able to multitask under pressure in an evolving environment.
