Pre-Sales Engineer – Computer Channels

The Pre-Sales Engineer – Computer Channels is responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive commercial technology solutions. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and technical execution, focusing on crafting proposals and collaborating with sales teams to ensure the successful adoption of value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Analyze customer requirements to recommend optimal Dell commercial hardware, including laptops, desktops, workstations, and monitors.

  • Proposal Development: Create detailed technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and solution architectures that align with Dell’s global standards.

  • Compliance & Accuracy: Ensure all technical submissions are accurate, compliant with specifications, and tailored to meet client expectations.

  • Sales Support: Partner with the sales team to provide technical insights that drive conversions and add value to the sales cycle.

  • Engagement: Lead technical demos, customer meetings, and discussions to secure solution acceptance.

  • Collaboration: Work with internal departments to facilitate the seamless delivery and execution of proposed solutions.

  • Market Awareness: Stay current with Dell’s evolving product portfolio and broader IT industry trends.

  • Tender Management: Assist in drafting responses for tenders, RFPs, and formal technical evaluations.


Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2–3 years of proven experience in Pre-Sales, Technical Sales, or Solutions Engineering, ideally within the IT hardware or channel sector.

  • Certifications: Professional certifications from Dell Technologies or other major OEMs are highly advantageous.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship management abilities and a collaborative mindset for working with clients and internal sales teams.
